Can I receive text messages on my existing landline number?

Yes! Sakari’s text-to-landline service allows you to send and receive text messages using your current business landline number without the need for any additional hardware.

Will customers know that they’re texting a landline?

No, customers won’t know the difference. They can simply send a text message as they normally would, and it will reach your landline just like a mobile number.

Can I schedule text messages to be sent at a later time?

Absolutely. Sakari’s text-to-landline service enables you to schedule messages in advance, helping you manage communication during off-hours or ensure timely follow-ups with customers.

What happens if a customer tries to call the landline instead of texting?

Your landline will continue to function for calls as usual. The text-to-landline feature works in tandem with your voice services, so both calls and texts are seamlessly integrated.

Is there a character limit for messages sent through the text-to-landline service?

Like traditional SMS messages, texts sent through Sakari’s service have a standard limit of 160 characters per message. However, longer messages are automatically split and sent as multiple texts.

What does Sakari pricing look like?

We offer monthly subscriptions which start at $16 USD per month and include one free dedicated US, Canada, United Kingdom or France phone number (other countries are available for an additional charge).

Each plan has an associated message segment per country, which can be found here. These plans are all month-to-month with no contract and you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Any unused credits in a month will roll over for a period of 90 days. All messaging plans can be shared across your entire team, with unlimited users and contacts.

What comes with the free trial?

You get 14 days to use $5 USD in messaging credits. After the credits are used up, you can upgrade to one of our pricing plans. 

How do I get a landline number setup?

Contact our support team and we will set up your landline number.

Do I pay for received messages?

Yes. Our plans charge for both inbound and outbound messages.

Can I send picture messages?

Yes. We support two-way MMS (image) messaging in the United States and Canada. MMS messages are priced at a $0.02 USD premium to whatever plan rate your account is on.

For example, if you're in the Starter plan with a rate of $0.032 USD per segment in the United States, an image message would be $0.052 USD. In addition to sending the image, MMS have the advantage of increasing your available character count limit to 1,600 characters (compared to 160 typically for SMS).

Accordingly, you can send longer text messages without incurring multiple segments.

What if I don't use all my message credits?

Any unused credits from previous months will rollover for 90 days.
